The Green Collar Community

East Oakland Green Business Incubation Proposals Due November 1!

A fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs seeking to participate in St. Vincent de Paul’s incubator program and receive capital and in-kind investments, property, a commercial kitchen, administrative infrastructure, and source material support!

St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) of Alameda County is excited to announce a new vision for one of  its properties.  In East Oakland, we envision building on existing anchor tenants and activities to create green economic development opportunities and jobs in one of few industrial corridors in the East Bay.

Through an RFP process, SVdP seeks to partner with other organizations both not for profit and for profit by offering up property assets, past expertise in the area of social enterprise, and a tradition and community acknowledgement of a passion to serve those most in need, with various barriers to employment.

The attached RFP provides the basis to start conversations with partners serious about real work, real jobs, in an economy that often overlooks the importance of reusing materials and making things here in the East Bay.   Please share the RFP materials with those that might be interested in this process, and we look forward to starting conversations with any mix of interested parties, helping us to shape and form the currently evolving vision.
